Wages

What you have earned in a spiritual way can be expressed by wages in dream language, payment for the good work that you have done or as a way to acknowledge progress that you have made. If you do not receive your wages or are underpaid in your dream then you feel undervalued or perhaps the spiritual progress you are making does not equal the energy that you are putting into your own progression, you work hard but do not see the return for the things that you do, this is a common feeling that happens when you want things to happen fast, unfortunately ‘patience’ is one of the first lessons you have to deal with.

Waiter/Waitress

If you are served food or drink in a dream then someone is trying to care for you, they are attempting to help you feel more satisfied with what you have on your plate, the quality of the food will help you understand if you are happy with your situation at the moment or if it is leaving you feeling dissatisfied. Sometimes we cannot taste the food in our dreams to any great extent and this is because you do not know as yet if what is being offered will satisfy your needs. Being served food can also symbolise what kind of deal you are being offered in other ways like a new job or role.

Raw food symbolises a raw deal or one which isn’t quite ready to be successful whereas overcooked or burnt food equals sustenance that is past its use for you. These translations can of course link with financial security because this does of course help towards your own contentment.

A waiter or waitress serving you drink in a dream will have the same symbolism as being served food, drink is a symbol that explains your own thirst for the things that you want. It is time to wake up and change the old ways of doing things, only you have real control over your life and the direction it takes and now is the time to take that control.  When you are trying to wake yourself up in a dream it is usually because you do not like the dream you are having, and you wish to escape a force that is keeping you trapped within its clutches.In the dream you know that you are dreaming and therefore have the overall control. These types of dreams are helping you to understand your own power over negative forces so that you use that same control of power to direct your life. Waking up from a vivid dream happens so that you remember and take notice of the dream contents. 

Walking

Journey dreams help you to understand if you are on the right path or if adjustments need to be made. They warn you about obstacles and pitfalls that are in your way and give you clues as to the best way forward. If you are aware of walking in a dream it can show that you need to take life step by step and that you must use your own energy and drive to get you where you want to be and not rely on other people. Everyone must ultimately walk their own path and a walking dream usually highlights your own personal goal and not ones which you share with the people around you.This dream might therefore relay your spiritual path and other symbols will be important to the overall translation. It is not unusual in a walking dream to feel as though you are not getting anywhere, and this is a normal feeling that is experienced when you are attempting to learn something new or when you wish to make faster progress than you should. You are actually moving at a speed that you need at the moment; some things cannot be rushed or forced.

Walking with somebody else represents the shared path you are on or that you are heading in the same direction, it is a message that you do not need to feel alone as there is always someone there to connect with when you need them, people who know how you feel, it doesn’t matter if it is a friend or lover it will still represent the shared experience. Sometimes in dreams you walk with a spiritual guide who is trying to show you the way forward or the correct path to take in life, this is especially true if you do not know the person you are walking with but still recognise them in some other way. 

Consider where you are walking in a dream, are you going somewhere that you have been before? Are you moving forward without hindrance or obstacle? Are the shoes you are wearing appropriate? This will help you to understand if your current chosen path is going to be easy or not.

Wall

This symbol is mostly used to explain obstacles that are in your way, you can get an idea as to how difficult those obstacles are going to be to get over by noticing how high the wall is and if or not you manage to find a way through or over it.

Walls stand to keep the outside world out and can also symbolise a protective barrier that you build around yourself, if someone else is behind the wall and you cannot gain entry then the wall becomes symbolic for the protective barrier that they have built up around themselves, in this case the wall is an obstacle for you but the protective shield for them.

Walls also represent dividers that keep people apart for whatever reason, it is common for people who have passed away to be dreamed about on the other side of a wall, but the same notion applies to the people who are alive, you just can’t seem to get through to them.Talking to a brick wall?

Wallpaper

If wallpaper is noticed in your dream the correct translation might come from the condition of it, wallpaper usually represents the way in which we cover and hide what is going on underneath the surface, particularly concerning your home life.

You may be attempting to cover the cracks in a relationship with flowery wall paper but in the long run this will prove futile. Perhaps you are stripping back the many different layers of wallpaper that have built up over time, this is a useful symbol of peeling back the layers of time to see what you started out with, you might need a fresh start with a relationship, to get back to basics and remember what you used to have together. Water

Fresh clear water links with fresh clean ideas and feelings; it gives us an idea of transparency and of being able to feel and see with an emotionally clear mind. Salty water symbolises mixed feelings, and the sea is a useful symbol to translate the vastness of emotions and how they can be muddled or confused at times. Wiring helps to explain the way people are connected to each other and how energy is transferred from one person to another; negative people tend to drain energy and draw it away from people who naturally create positive energy. Wiring also help you to see how people are wired, or how they think, if someone is confused or a bit crazy this can be symbolised by something that is wired incorrectly. Wiring also provides the energy needed to make something happen and if or not that energy is available to you at the present time, this may well symbolise your own energy store.

Telephone wiring can symbolise the strength of communication with other people, whereas wiring a plug would symbolise trying to make ‘something’ work, or trying to give it life, the object you are wiring will help with the translation, for example to wire anything that heats up would represent how you are trying to connect with others and give or receive warmth and love.

A network of wiring or cables can be used in dreams to symbolise a network of people or connections that are needed to bring success. To be cutting down trees is to be cutting off your own available energy, but it can also be used as a symbol when cutbacks are needed even if they are not particularly wanted, you need to clear the way for new growth to begin.
